Do I need a bookkeeper if I already use Xero?
Xero is a great tool but it still requires someone to categorise transactions correctly, reconcile accounts and make sure everything is accurate. Many business owners using Xero themselves find the records drift over time — miscategorised expenses, unreconciled transactions and VAT errors that only come to light at year end. We manage Xero on your behalf so it stays clean and current.
How does the monthly bookkeeping process work?
Once you are set up on Xero with a bank feed connected, transactions pull in automatically. We categorise and reconcile everything monthly, flag anything we need to query with you, and send you a brief summary once done. Most clients spend less than 15 minutes a month on their bookkeeping once we are set up.
My bookkeeping is behind — can you help get it up to date?
Yes, catching up on historical bookkeeping is something we do regularly. We will assess how far behind things are, give you a clear quote to get everything up to date, and then move you onto our monthly service going forward. It is more common than you might think and nothing to worry about.
I am based in Farnborough or Aldershot — do you work locally?
We are based in Fleet and work with businesses across Fleet, Farnborough, Aldershot and the wider Hampshire and Surrey area, as well as remotely throughout the UK. Everything is handled online through Xero so there is no need to come into an office or hand over paperwork.
